You’re Not Cool, Unless You Go To D23 I Guess

Some quick thoughts on D23

So this past weekend Disney hosted their annual D23 event in Anaheim and apparently it was the bee’s knees. With footage from a ton of upcoming stuff, like Jon Favreau’s Lion King, Avengers; Infinity War, Mary Poppins and some behind the scenes stuff for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

One thing quickly crosses my mind when thinking about all this. It’s great that Disney has this monster event every year, but I think it’s cruel and unusual punishment to us normal folk who simply can’t make it to this thing. Twitter was literally on fire yesterday from everyone tweeting about all the incredible footage that was being tossed around, and fans are even going stir crazy for Marvel to release the Infinity War footage. I think that Disney should considering expanding this thing to the masses. Why not have a streaming service going, where maybe it costs a pretty penny to watch, but what they should already know is that people will pay for almost anything Marvel/Disney related. I get that it’s suppose to be special to be at the event in person, but we live in a world now where either these things will just get leaked or you will cause an uproar when only a hand few of people get to see your product.

So will someone please leak that Avengers trailer, would really be beneficial for all of us. That shot of all the Avengers cast sitting watching the trailer, is actually pretty damn cool. Oh, and apparently Lion King looks like a masterpiece, which doesn’t surprise me at all, cannot wait for Lionish Gambino.

Check ya later.

  1. Everything about this post, yes. I even went as far as reading every single breakdown of the trailer available that I could find. But I’m sure they’re not going to release it at least until after SDCC.
