Dwayne Johnson, you got a metal leg! – Forest Gump voice
The trend of me liking anything with Dwayne Johnson rolls on! The newest trailer for SkyScraper, his version of Die Hard is fast approaching and it looks like a good old cheesy fun time at the movies!
Seriously though, I’m so down for Dwayne just reinventing old classics and putting a new spin on them and churning them out year after year. Like perhaps a Speed remake? Or how about a new spin on Point Break…wait that already happened, I’m sorry i reminded you of that.
So it goes like this, Dwayne has a really bad day working for the FBI, a bomb explodes leaving him without one of his legs. But as he puts it in the trailer, it was the best thing that ever happened to him because it led him to his wife and eventually the birth of his children. So when they are residents of the worlds tallest building, well you know things are going up shit creek real fast. That’s exactly what happens and it’s up to dear old Dwayne to save the day. No this will not be the next Die Hard, but it looks like a fun night at the movies. DJ always delivers with entertainment and he’s a box office goldmine these days. This will attractive an audience and looks to be half decent. Cheesy, yes. But I’m looking forward to DJ killing a whole lot of bad guys in hopefully some pretty unique and awesome ways. Plus it has one of Canada’s national treasures, Neve Campbell!
Overall the trailer is so-so, but I know I’ll see it opening weekend.
