‘The Green Knight’ Trailer

Strap in for this re-imagining of the story of Sir Gawain and the Green King by director David Lowery in this impressive debut trailer.

So this trailer just kind of came out of nowhere and blew us away? Giants, Kings and foxes oh my. From David Lowery director A Ghost Story, comes this fantasy world where the things aren’t quite quote on quote, normal.

Dev Patal stars as Gawain, King Arthur’s nephew and one of his Knights of the Round Table. It looks like the film centres around his story and how he potentially becomes King? Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton and Sean Harris fill out this lovely cast.

The cinematography is stunning, with some crazy imagery that leaves you wanting more. Some mysterious looking shots that leave you questioning exactly what is going to happen.

The Green King just shot up the leader board for most anticipated. This looks original, beautiful and more importantly really well acted.

‘The French Dispatch’ Trailer Arrives!

Hop into the wonderful mind of Wes Anderson once again, as his latest film looks as zany as ever.

You’ll need to watch this trailer multiple times for multiple reasons. First and foremost to truly get a grasp on what the heck is actually going on and secondly to count the number of famous faces you can spot. Both great reasons to watch this delightful little trailer again. We all know that Wes Anderson has a certain style and flare to his work. His craft is unique and truly stands on its own and The French Dispatch seems no different.

This is a smorgasbord of talent. They even had a nice joke when referring to the amount of people that will ultimately pop up in the movie. Most importantly Bill Murray of course! It looks like a whole lot of interconnecting stories that centres around a love letter to journalists.

The trailer was a ton of fun, it’s just so refreshing seeing his new work, because of how it stands out so much and so much on its own. Whenever Wes Anderson makes a movie you expect his cast to be diverse and deep. That’s what usually makes his movies so entertaining, you get to see all these actors who probably under any other circumstance wouldn’t be sharing the screen together. But somehow he manages to get them all in the same movie. Wes always manages to get the best out of people, even if they only have one scene. Expect this to make some noise next year at the Oscars.

New ‘The Way Back’ Trailer

Big year coming for Ben Affleck, starting with The Way Back.

Basketball is my favourite sport, I like the way they dribble up and down the court. Gavin O’Connor really is making live action Pixar movies, because all his movies do is make people cry. The man loves telling an emotional sports story and this will be no different.

Something about Ben Affleck battling inner demons all while coaching a basketball team just has me screaming internally and just so excited. I’m sure it will be cliche, I’m sure it will have all the same beats of any sports movie, but it’s been a long time since the world has gotten a good basketball movie. Not since Coach Carter and this seems to be packing way more of an emotional punch.

Looking forward to crying March 6th, 2020!

First ‘Morbius’ Trailer Arrives

Jared Leto is switching sides. He’s trading in his clown makeup for some fangs and thirst for blood in the first trailer for Morbius.

If you’re a character in a comic book, chances are you will be getting your very own movie someday. The newest entry, Michael Morbius. The scientist turned vampire, who’s just looking for a miracle cure to his almost incurable disease.A very unknown character, this comes across as a big risk for the MCU, but that’s right Morbius will be apart of the MCU. It was unclear until recently and the big reveal at the end of the trailer cements it fully. Micheal Keaton returns as The Vulture. Even if it’s a brief cameo we now know that Morbius will eventually go toe-to-toe with Spider-Man. Morbius will serve as a launching pad for another Spider-Man baddie, and one that could finally not be connect to Tony Stark which would be refreshing to say the least.

The trailer itself is just okay, it actually reminds me a lot of Venoms first trailer. They obviously don’t want to show off his look to much right away and want to save it for the films release. The little we did see looked pretty creepy. Whether or not they will be making him another anti-hero reminds a mystery. This looks dark and will be the closest horror MCU movie we may ever get.

Final ‘Birds of Prey’ Trailer!

2020 is officially belonging to the women of the DC Universe. Birds of Prey is going to certainly pack a punch.

Right off the bat, just a terrible song choice to pair with this trailer. I’m not sure why movies decide to do this? It almost takes you out of the trailer, it’s a big risk, if the song pairing isn’t in synch with the footage it can make for a disaster. Luckily, it’s just the song that is the bad thing going on here.

Zany, wacky, insane, all of these words can be used to describe Harley Quinn. The same can be said for this trailer. She’s on her own, but not for long. Harley as a ton of people after her and more importantly that want to kill her. So it’s only natural for her to migrate towards others of the same nature. This is where we are going to meet the birds of prey, fully on display here in the trailer. We finally see the iconic mask of Black Mask and a ton of other goodies.

The brightness, the colour scheme, they both pair really well with the material being presented and even the action sequences look unique in their own regard. It’s going to be a violent film, and it was the only route to go when exploring Harley Quinn further. The trailer is a lot of fun, the girls all seem to have terrific chemistry and Ewen McGregor seems like another great DC villain. It’s only a month away, but I expect this to be received really well, and be a box-office success.

New ‘TENET’ Trailer has dropped

Christopher Nolan’s latest feels like he’s pulling no punches, in an odd trailer that will have people scratching their heads in the best way possible. What does TENET mean?

Nolan, a man known for breaking barriers and creating vast stories is back at it again. That’s quite the introduction to TENET, because this is how to do a trailer. Leave people guessing, get them intrigued and most importantly, show off the weirdness that is your new film.

When a trailer begins and you see that WB and Syncopy logo, you know it’s about to go down. This is what it’s all about, Nolan is back and he’s brought an entire arsenal with him. No one knows that’s going on here, but it doesn’t mean it’s not amazing to see and more importantly, fun to digest and dissect. TENET, has to deal with time in some manner and we aren’t quite sure yet how or why. John David Washington and Robert Pattinson are part of “The Afterlife” an organization dedicated to some cause, and they appear to be spies.

It’s always heartwarming when you know that Nolan will be releasing a movie and 2020 will be no different. This looks like Inception mixed with James Bond, and just by the looks of the trailer he’s experimenting in ways we have never really seen before.

We’ve just touched the surface of TENET and the whole world can’t wait to see more.

‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Trailer Drops!!

The first official trailer has dropped and it’s mass hysteria people, cats and dogs living together!

So a little movie called Ghostbusters came out all the way back in 1984, just a little indie film, most people have never heard of it. Well now, 36 years later the world is finally being treated to proton packs and the Ecto 1, the way it’s suppose to be intended.

Taking the mantel from his father Ivan, Jason Reitman is writing and directing the third instalment into this beloved franchise. Yes, a few years back we got the all female led movie, but that wasn’t connected to the original two movies. This is a proper sequel that looks like it’s going back to its roots and what made this franchise so wonderful. After they go broke a family has moved into the only thing they have left, a creepy old barn in the middle of nowhere that used to belong to their grandad. Well, lucky for them, that barn belongs to Egon Spangler, former collector of moulds and funguses and all around genius. Finn Wolfhard and McKenna Grace are suiting up as his grandchildren, while Carrie Coon is set to play their mother.

Paul Rudd is also joining in on the fun, as their teacher who just so happens to be a Ghostbusters fanatic. He is going to help guide them on the righteous path of never crossing the streams and teach them just how awesome their grandad used to be.

This trailer was way more serious than I thought it would be, and it just reminds me so much of the first Ghostbusters, there’s jokes, but not over the top comedy, everything feels like home in this trailer. It’s a small tease and this will surely be the start of a larger franchise, but this was a pretty incredible trailer, even more so if you’re a Ghostbuster purest. The originals are set to make their triumphant return and that will be a special moment, it’s just sad they all couldn’t still be a live to make it even more special.

They are even bringing back Slimer!

First “WW84” Trailer Is Here!

The DCEU is finally rolling out it’s first sequel, Wonder Woman is back and things are much more colourful

Everyone’s favourite lasso twirling superhero is back! That’s right, after what feels like the worlds longest wait, the first footage for the highly anticipated follow-up to the massively successful Wonder Woman is here!

Her boyfriends back and it’s going to be trouble. WW84 is shaping up to be one epic sequel. What a debut trailer. Showcasing the return of Steve Trevor, who is back from the dead and we aren’t sure of how or why. One thing is certain, it’s going to come with a hefty price.

We get introduced to the two vilains of the movie, Pedro Pascal who is playing Max Lord and Kristin Wiig who is playing her arch nemesis, Barbara Minerva aka Cheetah. They didn’t reveal her final look, and that’s okay seeing how this is just a tease.

Everything is slicker and more stylish around and way more comedy. All around WW84 so far looks incredible. She’s swinging around on lightning, do you really need to see anything else?

In theatres June 5th!

‘No Time To Die’ Trailer Is Here!

Daniel Craig returns for the final time in the conclusion to the greatest stretch of Bond films the world has ever seen.

It’s really going to be sad when the title of James Bond no longer applies to Daniel Craig. Without doubt the best to ever wear that suit and has starred in the most action-packed, and overall best Bond movies ever. Fresh off the heels of Spectre, he’s suiting up one last time and going toe-to-toe with none other than Oscar winner himself, Rami Malek.

Bond just wants to finally live the retired life. Off active duty he is thrust back into the limelight when a mysterious villain with some extremely dangerous technology comes knocking at his door. Stepping away from the camera is Sam Mendes but insert Cary Fukunaga and this could be something really eerie and special. Known for his horror, this Bond could end up being kind of scary or at least more bizarre than previous films.

Toss in Ana de Armas who just starred with Craig in Knives Out and Latasha Lynch as the newest 007 agent, this looks so promising. Even if the trailer wasn’t that well put together, there are too many impressive pieces at play here not to have this high on the most anticipated list for 2020. It’s Daniel Craig’s swan song, get excited!

‘Mulan’ Trailer Hits!

The live action Disney adaptations just keep coming. Thing is, Mulan looks like the best one yet.

Disney just keeps on coming. Whether it’s the MCU, Disney+, Star Wars, they are always in the news and most importantly making money. Can’t hate on greatness, but some feel that it’s a Disney overload at this point. Well get used to it, and honestly, if they make films like Mulan, I’m all for it. The latest animated feature to get the live action spruce up looks simply incredible.

The thing that separates Mulan from the rest, it seems like they are going far off script from the animated version and it’s the right call. Lion King was essentially cut and paste from the original and people wanted some more originality. They want it to seem fresh, that’s why the newer ideas put in Aladdin worked. What’s the point in just rehashing old material if it’s going to be the exact same thing that everyone in the world has already seen. The new trailer is larger in scale and really showing off just how much money they have invested in this thing. Mulan will be a box-office juggernaut that is a fore gone conclusion.

The only thing everyone will miss surely is clearly Mushu, but that’s what the sequel will be for obviously.

See for yourself below. Just a really well-done trailer!
