New ‘The Batman’ Trailer Is Insane

When I tell you this is going to be the best comic book movie ever made, just trust me.

Everyone okay? Because I sure as hell am not! What a trailer, what a day for DC fans. It was already a packed day, but they always save the best for last and they weren’t messing around.

So much to process so little time because I’m clearly watching this on a loop for the next few days. From the aesthetics, Gotham’s landscape, how amazing everyone looks, the action. Everything from this trailer was Batman perfection.

This is the movie Seven but we are inserting Batman in the lead role. I loved how they have captured The Riddler and he’s interrogating him behind glass! Clearly a giant game of cat and mouse will be going on between these two throughout the entire film.

Everyones presence is felt in this trailer. Rob and Zoe especially with them having some sort of romance going on. Alfred looks like he is rocking a cane and again Colin Ferrell as Penguin is just unrecognizable in his role! We get a tiny glimpse of Paul Dano has The Riddler, but something is off, they aren’t showing us his face yet………..

We get Batman literally walking into gunfire, like this movie is going to be special. Batman is kicking the shit out of everyone in front of him and I’m here for it.

This looks like no other Batman movie that has come before it. It’s just so beautiful

I need a cigarette……..

‘The Flash’ Movie Arrives

Two Flashes, Supergirl, and Michael Keaton is back as Batman. Haven’t heard his Batman voice in 30 years. Today is a good day.

So Michael Keaton is back as Batman. Do I really need to say anything more about this movie?

So it’s been almost 30 years since Michael Keaton suited up as Batman, but life always comes full circle, and so does the DC Universe. The Flash will be running through multiple timelines, visiting multiple Batmen and trying to save the one person he loves the most, his mother.

Based loosely off The Flashpoint Paradox, where we see Barry Allen do the impossible and actually save his mother, only to see his own universe and world flipped upside down.

When he tries to clean up his own mess, it turns out, it’s harder than he thought, so obviously he turns to Batman to help him out.

This is such a small tease that it’s hard to understand everything, like why there are two Flashes, and how he gets to Keaton’s universe. Ben Affleck will also be joining in on the fun with his Batman. So this movie promises to be BIG with a ton of consequences for the DC Universe going forward.

One thing is certain, The Flash is going to change the landscape of everything and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

First Look At ‘Black Adam’

He’s been saying it for years, but the hierarchy of the DC Universe is about to change.

Dwayne Johnson is about to kick the living shit out of the Shazam family. He says he was born to play Black Adam and I think this small little tease we got shows us why.

From the Nation of Kahndaq, Black Adam can rival just about anyone in the DC Universe so why not get one of Hollywoods biggest stars to play this iconic character. The post-production has just started but it’s DC Fandome so obviously we weren’t going to leave empty handed.

We get a quick tease and glimpse of Dwayne donning the epic costume and zapping some dudes into dust in a mere instance. He’s powerful and he isn’t taking any prisoners.

The clip is great and showcases the massive scale this movie will have. Introducing the fans to a bunch of new and awesome DC characters while expanding the DC Universe.

It’s too early to tell what kind of movie this will ultimately become, but from this quick peek, Dwayne is going to crush this role.

‘Scream’ Trailer Is Bloody & Bold

We are finally heading back to Woodsboro for perhaps one final rip with the Ghostface killer.

A franchise that has spanned 4 decades, seen countless murders and 4 films. The Scream franchise is going back to its roots. Ever since the first instalment haunted teens, Scream has terrorized people for years on end. While some sequels have stumbled a bit, it appears that director Matt Bettinelli is reverting back to what made this franchise special. This trailer feels like classic Scream.

The killer is always someone you know, that’s the tag-line for the next film that is brining back the powerhouse trifecta of Sidney, Dewey and Gale, perhaps this time it’s one of them, or even worse, one of them will finally bite the dust. Reinventing this franchise is hardwork, the premise of calling someone on the phone before you kill them seems so outdated, yet, they’ve made it work this entire time. Holding back on the whole meta idea of Scream, this just feels like we are back in the beginning where we will be getting a classic slash em up type of movie that promises no one is safe and the reveal of the killer will truly be rewarding.

We haven’t visited Woodsboro in over a decade and now we are back and everything is going horribly as usual. But this time it’s different. Ghostface is picking off one by one and those people happen to be related to those original victims of the Woodsboro murders.

A great young looking cast, with the help of the dream team. Scream promises to be one hell of a sequel.

First ‘The Matrix: Resurrections’ Trailer Drops

It’s time to journey back into the matrix with Neo and Trinity with what appears to be a wild ride.

The question always was, red pill or blue pill? I guess Neo has ditched the red pill and gone for blue and that has totally made him forget who exactly he is. A sequel to the mega action blockbuster that shaped how movies were not only viewed but made 22 years ago. The Matrix will stand the test of time and it looks like the 4th installment is taking a ton of plays out of the playbook of the original.

Visually stunning, cued up with White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane, this trailer has just about everything you would want from a matrix trailer. It’s trippy, it’s hard to understand, and has more visually pleasing moments than you can count. Neo (Keanu Reeves) has forgotten all about his past, including who Trinity is (Carrie Anne Moss) which seems a little odd, but more surprising than anything is the fact he no longer knows that he is the chosen one. There’s a lot to unpack with this trailer, that leaves a lot of questions unanswered, but that’s kind of what you want going into this movie.

The action looks incredible, going back to its roots with groundbreaking camera work with unique sequences and well-choreographed fight scenes. He may have forgotten who he is, but he certainly still has the majority of his powers. It’s just great to be back with these iconic characters, who helped shape popular culture in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Toss in some awesome new additions to the cast, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, and Ellen Hoffman, there’s so much to be excited about.

I’m sure this movie will have a ton of surprises and leave your jaw flat on the floor. Hits theatres this December.

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer Is Glorious

Strap in. Every single Spider-Man and all their baddies are coming back for one epic showdown.

If this doesn’t get your blooding, I don’t know what will! Look at that picture above, all these years later and a little de-aging but Alfred Molina is back at Doctor Octopus and I think he’s brought along some friends.

So turns out that Peter just wants so privacy in his life. After the world finds out he’s Spider-Man, things aren’t going so well for the man. All he wants his things to go back to normal so he turns to the one man that can do that for him, Dr. Strange. So when Strange conjures up a spell to make the entire population of Earth forget that he is Spider-Man, obviously things don’t go as planned and all hell breaks loose.

They somehow open up the multiverse and this is where things truly get exciting. Jamie Foxx is back as Electro, Thomas Haden Church as Sandman, Rhys Ifans is back as the Lizard and the legend himself William DaFoe is back as Green Goblin. All of them teaming up with Doc Ock and one more party member to form the iconic Sinister Six. Six against one, I don’t like those odds for Peter unless…….

Not only are we seeing villains return, but their counterparts as well. Not shown in the trailer, because Marvel is clearly saving that money shot for the actual movie, but Tobey and Andrew are suiting up to help this universe Spider-Man take down their foes.

Like, I don’t need to say much more. Three Spider-Men, classic villains, and who knows what else is going down. Both Tobey and Andrew never truly got their swan song and a proper sendoff for their iteration of playing Spider-Man and this is going to be so bittersweet.

The movie looks like a ton of fun and for someone who has seen every Spider-Man movie in theatres, this is something I’ve wanted my whole life.

Due out on Christmas.

Final ‘Eternals’ Trailer Hits

Is the big baddie Galactus showing up in Eternals? Sure looks like it, the new and final trailer packs a punch

Eternals: Full trailer for Marvel film introduces the Deviants

Chloe Zhao had herself a year. Coming off multiple wins at the Oscars, she now finds herself in the grand universe of the MCU. Her take on the Eternals sure feels like something new and doesn’t quite look like every other single MCU movie that has come before it. Disney has given her the freedom to do her own thing and it shows her sense of filmmaking, which shines in this latest trailer. Some absolute gorgeous cinematography, the monumental cast, perhaps Phase 4 of the MCU is going to let the directors speak for themselves. Something previous movies have lack, a sense of identity.

The big question on everyone’s minds is, “where the heck these people were during the battle against Thanos?” Well, that has been answered in this trailer, by simply stating that the event almost wasn’t big enough and not their responsibility. Unless something known as the Deviants are involved it’s a no-fly zone for our heroes. That’s all about to change because the world may be ending in 7 days and it’s up to the Eternals to save the day.

Nothing like a great, getting the team back together troupe in a movie. Building back the team that has been on Earth for 7000 years, all reuniting for the first time in centuries. The cast is so large and incredibly talented that I can’t list them all, but this feels like a slam dunk of epic proportions. No one feels out of place and I’m sure they will all get their time to shine, but two notable standouts are the Game of Thrones alumni, Kit Harrington and Richard Madden.

Yes, it will have the MCU humor and everything that comes along with being a movie within the MCU, but that doesn’t mean this doesn’t look and feel different. Something the MCU has been lacking as of late. I think stakes will be at an all-time high and this will seriously be a massive launching pad for the MCU going forward. My prediction, the Fantastic Four or at least one of them will be the stinger at the end of the credits.

Due out in November.

New ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Trailer!

Carnage is the star of the new trailer and he looks glorious. This franchise knows exactly what it is and that’s what makes it special.

Well, I don’t think fans expected to get a brand new look at Venom vs Carnage this morning, but here we are. Woody Harrelson is going full on crazy mode for his interpretation of Cletus Kasady the mass murderer turned super-duper bad guy. They don’t really shy away from focusing on him this time around with a ton of new awesome footage of Carnage in action. He’s mean, scary and the body count is about to skyrocket with him around.

They set up the story a little bit more and take us deeper into the relationship between Eddie Brock and Kasady before their alter-egos will go toe-to-toe. I’m not sure if biting Eddie Brock is means for Kasady to turn into Carnage but it could very well play a role in the matter.

The movie honestly feels like a rom-com comic book movie. The romance just so happens to be between Eddie and Venom. Their constant bickering and flawed relationship being pushed to the test. It was the best part of the first movie and it’s a great thing they aren’t shifting that focus away. All poor Venom wants to do is eat people, but it’s clear the movie is setting him up as very anti-hero material and that they will have bigger problems at hand when Carnage is set loose on the city. Epic fights, great visuals and some really good humour make for a wonderful new trailer.

The big question is obviously going to be, will this be linked to Spider-Man in any way and I think if this movie is successful enough, that is just inevitable. These are two of the most iconic Spider-Man foes, and with star power like this behind the characters, it’s a no brainer.

This looks like a ton of fun and when a movie has confidence about what it wants to be. That can only lead to good things. Bring on the Carnage!

New ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Trailer

We got one! A brand new trailer for the upcoming sequel to the cult classic Ghostbusters is here and it’s really good.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife reveals new characters and its first haunted house | GamesRadar+

Like father like son. When Ivan Reitman directed Ghostbusters almost 40 years ago, I don’t think he ever envisioned his son would pick up the proton pack mantle and direct his own sequel someday. This trailer has everything you would want. It’s respecting what has previously been built while exploring new roads and new ideas all while making it seem directly related to the original material.

Instead of some 30 something-year-olds battling ghosts in New York City, we are going to get a coming-of-age story, that seems like a neat and interesting spin. Jason Reitman is practically dedicating this film to the late Harold Ramis by making him the focal point of the entire story. We have his family moving into what they think is a small town in the middle of nowhere and into this old beaten-down home. Unbeknownst to Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (McKenna Grace) is that their Uncle (Egon) was an all-time ghost ass-kicker. So when they start to put the pieces together of his legendary past, it’s up to them and a few of their trusty side-kick friends to help save the world yet again.

One aspect that everyone is very excited about is obviously the cameos of the people who built this franchise from the ground up. We get a peek at one with Annie Potts (Janine Melnitz), who played the world’s greatest secretary. But, the moment that is bound to give every fan goosebumps is when none other than Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) picks up the phone at the very end of the trailer. The cameos seem like a natural part of the story and seem to flow very nicely within the context of the movie. Not forced and it will only help drive the movie forward, something you would want with a movie like this.

We get to see the new team in action a little bit more, but the best part about the trailers that have arrived so far is the lack of action they have been showing. Not a whole lot of ghost-busting has been shown and I think that’s wonderful. This is about more than just that and the movie is clearly about more than that. We do get to see Ecto 1 back in action with a few cool new upgrades at hand and honestly hearing the sirens go with the car, will put a smile on anyone’s face.

It seems fun, inventive but close to home. Which all leads to a successful sequel. Time will tell!

New ‘Dune’ Trailer Rocks

Feast your eyes on the world of Arrakis and all of its beauty. Dune truly will be one of a kind.

Dune Official Trailer - YouTube

The world has been waiting for more footage of Dennis Villeneuve’s Dune, and this morning is finally that day. What a gorgeous and stunning trailer that was just delivered. Based on Frank Herbert’s best-selling novel, we are transported to a land where spices rule all and no one can be trusted.

Fresh off Blade Runner 2049, which is arguably one of the most beautiful movies ever made. Somehow, Dennis has upped his game for Dune. Each shot is rich in texture and color, making the landscape of Arrakis looking hauntingly beautiful. In the world of Dune, you can only trust a select few because the others are trying to kill you. Protect those closest to you, and fight those who are not.

We get a great sense of the scale of this movie, with giant landscapes, armies, and vast battlefields. The trailer does a fantastic job at showcasing the diverse cast, each playing an important role within the universe. Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa) is on full display here as Paul’s (Timothee Chalamet) trusty sidekick who will stop at nothing to ensure he remains safe. The cast is brilliant and stacked so deep, that you wonder just how something like this could be assembled.

This isn’t going to be some flashy new movie universe. Dune is a slog, that isn’t filled with lightsaber fights, or talking creatures, it’s about humanity and finding peace within yourself and others. Its barren landscape can be just as beautiful as anything we have ever seen in a science fiction movie. That’s what makes Dune so potentially special, is just how different it will be from any other massive scale movie, its depressing nature and stature. Everyone is very stoic and poised and it works in its favor. It’s a movie that takes itself very seriously.

Dune needs to hurry up and get here, and a movie like this is why IMAX screens exist.
