James Wan is not messing around.
Look at that shit. It’s beautiful. So a 5 minute Aquaman trailer just dropped and holy moly, it’s incredible. I don’t even know where to begin, because there was so much jammed packed into that thing. You get a sense of the scope and the vibe of the movie, because they were showing legit footage.
Everything from that long tracking shot of the Atlanteans chasing down Mera, or how damn perfect Black Manta looks. I had very high expectations going into this and after the first trailer I was fully on board. But after this, just take all my money now.
Let’s just all take a moment to thank James Wan for delivering what is sure to be a grand slam and something DC fans have been waiting for. A truly impressive Aquaman stand alone movie, that looks and feels like something epic. Atlantis looks spectacular, the costumes look impeccable, Jason and Amber seem to have their chemistry down.
I’m just happy with everything that has gone on in terms of the DCEU, us fans have something to look forward too. This could be one of the truly great superhero flicks, it feels like Star Wars under water. Time will tell, but that was a really impressive trailer.
